“BOOST Your MED Initiative!” will be held in Cagliari, Sardinia – Italy, from 8th to 9th of November 2018, with the main aim of capacity training for Business Support Organizations (BSO) executives and focus on capacity enhancing measures to access to finance (funding opportunities & EU project management).
The training wants to involve the participants in the elaboration of concrete proposals, working directly on the official forms and documents from donors. During the Summer School activities the participants will develop project proposals focused on 4 main topics: Business and SMEs; Social Inclusion; Education, Research and Innovation; Environment.
The training initiative is organized within the framework of the EU financed project EBSOMED. Enhancing Business Support Organisations and Business Networks in the Southern Neighbourhood is a project funded by the European Union up to 80% and coordinated by BUSINESSMED (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises) as part of a consortium of six partners. More than thirty organisations from 26 countries are also affiliated to the project.
In particular, “BOOST Your MED Initiative!” is one of the Med BSO Academy workshops in project development and management, designed in order to improve the capacity of the EU and MED BSOs to develop international cooperation projects in the Mediterranean through better information on funding opportunities and capacity-building activities on project development tools and methodologies.
The initiative is organized by German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC) and Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), partners of EBSOMED project, and OpenMed, affiliate. The training will be supported by the University of Cagliari.
