OVERVIEW

The workshop “New challenges for BSOs from the Euromed Cooperation” will be held in Cagliari, Sardinia – Italy, from 14th to 16th of December 2022, with the main aim of capacity building for Business Support Organizations (BSO) executives and focus on capacity enhancing measures to access to finance (funding opportunities & EU project management, with a focus on the NEXT MED INTERREG programme – continuation of the ENI CBC MED programme).

The training wants to involve the participants in the elaboration of concrete proposals, working directly on the official forms and documents from donors. During the training activities the participants will develop project proposals focused on the specific objectives of the INTERREG NEXT MED programme.

The training initiative is organized within the framework of the EU financed project EBSOMED. Enhancing Business Support Organisations and Business Networks is a 4-year project co-funded by the European Union that aims at boosting the Mediterranean business ecosystem promoting an inclusive economic growth by enhancing the private sector organisations in the Southern Neighborhood countries and it’s coordinated by BUSINESSMED (Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises) as part of a consortium of six partners. More than thirty organisations from 26 countries are also affiliated to the project.

In particular, the workshop “New challenges for BSOs from the Euromed Cooperation” is one of the initiatives in  project  development  and  management, designed  in  order  to improve the capacity of the EU and MED BSOs to develop international cooperation projects in the Mediterranean through better information on funding opportunities and capacity-building activities on project development tools and methodologies.

The initiative is organized by the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA), the Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (BUSINESSMED) and the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), partners of EBSOMED project, and OpenMed, affiliate.

In occasion of the 40th anniversary of ASCAME foundation, a final conference “Euromediterranean Cooperation – financial instruments and exchanges of experiences” is organised by Chamber of Commerce of Cagliari – Oristano with the support of the University of Cagliari.
